A small pub, done properly.
The Silver Fox name comes from co-owners Niki's silver hair and Simon's surname, Fox. They spotted their dream inside an old dry cleaner on Montpelier Avenue in 2019, and set about stripping out the old and building something worth drinking in.
Opening was delayed by lockdown, but they pushed on and finally opened the doors in July 2020. Together they've built a comfortable, relaxing micro pub that caters to all, and one that happens to host monthly quiz nights, bi-monthly race nights, and traditional bingo.
The drinks list is long for a room this size: lagers like Birra Moretti, cask ales from Kent breweries, a run of gins, spirits, wines and cocktails, including the much-loved Porn Star Martini. Niki and Simon have even created the Silver Fox shot and the DA5 shot, exclusive to the pub.
Come in for a pint, a quiet Sunday, or the full Wednesday bingo.
